Defined by webster as “the ability of the mind to be creative or resourceful” – I see my imagination as a home. A place to retreat, tapping deeply into the place in which my being can truly spread it’s wings when the world does not allow me to.
Children are born without the tainted ideals of society. They are born without the poison of societal beauty standards, racial & gender perceptions, fear, doubt, or worst of all… hate.
All they have is their Imagination and Individuality. Opposite of this, adults are lost within these standards…but… we don’t have to be.
The man version of a former child who believed he was Batman, Indiana Jones, and a Ninja Turtle all in one. I’ve never been one to live by the confines of societal thinking. There were moments of my life in which I lost sight of that. “Growing Pains” to say the least – But that’s a part of life. I wasn’t confident in being myself. I was unsure of where I stood among the rest. I was not certain of my thoughts. I was afraid to Think Different…. But you can’t always see the forest for the trees. Accept and love yourself for who you truly are. Live your life by your own mind, by your own standards. Learn to dream with your eyes open, and let your imagination paint your individuality. For imagination is not only for the child, but for the adult too.
